About This Quote

Books give us new lives, loves, and the feeling we aren't alone. We all find ourselves reading a book and getting engrossed in the story. We become so involved with the characters and their lives, that we begin to feel like we know them. We laugh and cry together, and when we turn the last page we can breathe a sigh of relief because we know we won't be alone in the world no matter what happens to us. Sometimes it's nice to escape into a book and go on an adventure that reminds us that there is more than just ourselves in the world and that people who aren't us are good people too.
